Lives of a Women is a place for women to come together and share the things we all experience and manage on a daily basis. It is a central place online for all of us to explore and learn more about the roles we play throughout our lifetimes. It’s a compass to help navigate the incredible roles you play as a woman.

Why 13?

13 is an amazing number. Some say it represents the number of the sacred feminine. Some say it is unlucky. Some say it is superstitious. Either way it makes you think. There are two sides to every coin. Two perspectives to every truth. And here at Lives of a Woman, we consider this number to be lucky.

We chose the top 13 roles that women experience throughout their lives based on asking women around the world of all ages and backgrounds what they thought. We turned these roles into the channels of our community. We have called each one “The Authentic….” because this is about the real you, about being honest and having a place to truly share, learn and grow. No judgments, no boundaries. There is only one you so start sharing her with the world.

The Journals

Each channel is highlighted using a different journal so you can easily navigate through our community by looking for the journals (or topics) that most suit your interests. Learn by reading what others have to share – from our specially chosen experts to women just like you full of wisdom and experiences. See what they have to say and join in the conversation if and when you like by adding a comment at the end of a post.

Our Vision

Be Yourself, Keep it Simple, Think for Yourself. In a world where media tends to create stories that are biased, people create drama to feel needed, schools are teaching us not to ask smart questions, and strong role models are getting harder to find, our vision is to create a space where we take things into our own hands to create a better future.

Our theme writers will write stories on these three themes. They may be the simplest of tips or the deepest of metaphors. Either way they will be written for you to take action. They will be featured on the Lives of a Woman main blog and streamed to the other channels where you can find summaries on the right side bar in each channel.

Our Lifestyle Challenges

At least once a year we will host a lifestyle challenge as a featured blog. With the release of the second installment of “Sex And The City” the movie this year we are focusing on the themes in this infamous series, yet with a twist only Lives of a Woman can bring.
